Dr Axel Kessler, LL.M. is a specialized lawyer in the area of IT, new Media and Data Privacy since 1998. He is admitted to the German and the New York Bar. After starting his career with Hogan Lovells he took an in-house counsel position with Siemens in 2004. First he advised on IT matters and Outsourcing transactions, and then he was leading a M&A team responsible for internal restructurings. 2013 he took over the global position as Head of Data Privacy, being responsible for the Data Privacy program for all Siemens group companies and its 300.000 employees. Since 2019 he is also the Data Protection Officer of Siemens AG.
